2...cough years of not knowing
So funnily enough I have lived in Auckland my whole life and had never been to Waiheke Island which to be honest is right next door to where I live. I never had the urge or need to go there because in my mind it was just an extension of Auckland. BUT today was the day I actually visited this secluded island of mysteries and the reason for this sudden first was cause... I had a work function there hahaha so technically not on my own accord but by fate I got the chance to go. It was meant to be. Waiheke is known for being a haven full of beautiful vineyards, olive groves and beaches. I can attest that it is completely true! From what little I saw of Waiheke it is full of nature and serenity, sadly I only got to go there for a day to eat a lovely meal at The Boathouse | Cafe and Bar next to Onetangi Beach which is about 30 mins from the Waiheke Ferry Terminal.
